Thick plumes of smoke and volcanic ash veil this tribe from prying eyes. They are well-adapted to live in this harsh, deadly environment; their lungs filter out ash from the air, allowing them to breathe even if the air is thick with smoke. They hunt at sea, subsisting on a diet of fish, seals, sharks and even whales. Visitors are rarely allowed to step foot on their volcanic homeland, partly due to the fact that they would be unable to survive, and are instead invited to the small, fertile island just north of it.
